It allows teachers to monitor a student's writing progress over time without needing to search through dozens of emails to find whether a student has shared their work.

    Students writing gets scanned in and immediately turned int a google doc for the student to get straight to editing and acting on the teacher feedback. Saving time in the classroom and making sure that when it comes to reporting time, you can quickly and easily see every students growth

  • In this age of screens everywhere, I was trying to find a happy medium that required students to keep practicing handwriting skills while also freeing me from lugging home stacks of papers every night. As I reflected on the process, I noticed several recurring problems:

    • Students dread editing by hand because it feels like they must rewrite the entire piece.

    • Their notebooks become extremely messy during revisions, and books often go missing.

    • Ideas get stifled; students choose the quickest edits instead of pursuing the strongest ones.

    • As the final reader, I found their work increasingly hard to follow as drafts accumulated.

    • I struggled to track where each student began and how their writing evolved.

    • It takes nearly twice as long for a student to type up what they’ve written, and that typing time eats into our schedule.

    We were consistently running out of time during the editing phase because typing took so long. I realized that if I could save students a couple of class sessions otherwise spent transcribing, we could devote that time to deeper editing and conferencing to improve their writing. So I created a solution to address these issues.

  • We are not an ‘app’ at this stage so you wont be able to find us on the app store sadly.

    The easiest step one is to add the program page to your phone or tablets homepage for the fastest access. (This is given to you once you have an account with us)

    Once youve done this you just need to add an assignment name to the class you have.

    Then when a child comes to you with their book for feedback, you open the program page snap a photo, then focus on having a conference with the student. building connections and working with the child to help them understand what edits to make.

    By the time they are back at their desk, they will have an email with the typed document in it ready for them to start putting your discussion into action.

    Now that the work is digital you can check how their progress is going and make further comments to develop the writing.

    Secondly, being able to capture the handwriting process preserves the skill of handwriting within the classroom and prevents those drafts from disappearing into the depths of a student’s bookbag or becoming the convenient “lost book” excuse when a notebook doesn’t come back to school.
